I have a 7770 XFX DD card for about 6months now. When putting my computer to sleep th display went off and the fans jsut kept spinning for a little more than 5mins which is when i decided to power it off by holding the power button. So when i turned it on all the fans were spinning, the usb ports worked, leds worked but my monitor wouldnt display anything. So i removed my Graphics card and it booted up like normal. I tried an older graphics card so I concluded that somethings wrong with my Card and not the mobo. I already made a support ticket on Xfx but its likely that they wontbe able to help me until Monday.
Did you try putting the 7770 card back in and double checking all your connections were tight?. I had my 7870 out of my PC because I was cleaning it the other day. I bumped my PC with my foot and the display went dead. Turns out I didn't have one of the PCI power cables tight enough.
I'll try again but Im pretty sure they were since both fans were spinning.
Well if the fans on the GPU were spinning when you had no signal then check your signal cable was plugged in tight. If it isn't the connections, then I hate to say it, but it sounds like you have some serious problems, friend.
The fans on a GPU will spin up even if the card is not connected correctly.
Reinstalled it numerous of times just now and made sure all the connections were properly placed in....What i noticedwas that my PC kept restarting even though it wasnt displaying anything.
