How can I make my PC look sexy?

About a year ago I purchased a Bitfenix Ronin- and then a few months later regretted it after seeing what Phanteks put into the Enthoo Pro. Now I'm left wanting more out of my case, but I dont want to buy another case because I really like the looks and the big side window that the Ronin has to offer, and money is indeed an issue.

First problem IS NOT a fault of my case. The problem lies with the power supply, and the fact its a little bit more than a few years old. Its a great power supply that's been with me for a while, and pushes quite a bit of power (more than I need.) The problem is that the cables are simply too short for me to have decent cable management. I cant route any of the cables behind the motherboard tray. As of writing this post I'm not on location so I'm going to have to use the most recent pictures I have, which arent very recent.

(Yeah, its changed quite a bit since then, new motherboard, dual fans on the Evo 212, and no ghetto shit, idk what the hell i was thinking.)

What's not long enough?

  1. The CPU 8-pin.
  2. The PCI-e 6-pin and 8-pin.
  3. The motherboard 24-pin.

As its shown in the pictures, the power supply's cables are not long enough to route them. I know I can buy extensions for the cables but everywhere I've seen them they are ludicrously expensive/total crap. Anywhere where I can get sleeved cable extensions for a decent price? I want them to be decent looking, not crap.

Second problem has everything to do with Bitfenix throwing in the dumb stealth cover instead of making the inside of the case look nicer.

The lack of rubber grommets. This REALLY makes the case look worse, and makes a nice looking case look like an extremely cheap case on the inside. I want to know if there's some rubber grommets I could buy that would somehow fit the case and make it look a lot cleaner.

In conclusion, I need help finding stuff to make this shitbox look nice. Any suggestions?

To be honest, it depends how much you want to get involved, and how good you are with crafts. I've been able to make really nice looking hole covers using black hockey tape. It's a fabric tape with a strong glue, great stuff. Mind you, i've had the glue solidify to a plastic under high heat on the rough black paint on painted steel you so often find on many PC cases.

You can essentially make a nice black fabric sheet that will stick to anything, use cardboard to make a sort of form around your cables to cover them up completely. It's just an uber ghetto idea lol.

3 inch zip ties are your friends. get the black ones.

you could try getting creative with the location of your cables so they are simply kept out of the window's view. you might need a 4/8 pin extension however. you could route that cable up against the sidepanel, right outside the periphery of the window, on the frame, so it's kept out of sight.

Oh my... In my opinion, having a matx mobo in a mid tower is just ugly.

If you would consider a case replacement, the Corsair obsidian 350D is a gorgeous case. Or the case that i'm currently using, a Corsair carbide air 240. (Click on my profile to see what my build looks like.)

A fully modular PSU replacement will also help a lot.

Like I said, different mobo now lol. And yeah, it was hideous. I dont want to buy a new power supply, and I dont really want to buy a new case because I really like the way the Ronin looks. I'm just gonna buy some cable extensions and call it a day.

I could make grommets with electrical/some kind of black tape... it would look ghetto on the back of the motherboard tray, but it would look a lot better through the side panel. I looked to see if anyone else had done something similar and some dude did it with foam-

If you don't want to change anything, and you already know what you want, why did you create a topic asking for help? lol

Get power supply cable extensions just the 24 pin and 8 pin aren't overly pricey and that way you can manage your cables better. Still I think its odd that your PSU's cables are too short to route behind the Mobo tray is that a ATX PSU? Anyway here is a link to things that will make your problems go away, maybe.

Oh and make sure that the 8/4 pin extender is compatible for your PSU and CPU and such.

Yeah, its an ATX PSU. Its from a time before bottom mounted power supplies were the norm. And thanks for the links.
