Hi all,
I just got a new monitor for my birthday, it's the Asus VN248H-P and it's awesome so far.
I really want two displays, and so until I get a second one of these, I'm going to use the monitor I was previously using.
The problem is, I have a GTX 770 which only has one HDMI port, however my older monitor only has HDMI and VGA, and the newer monitor only has HDMI (2 of them) and VGA. (and MHL but I have no idea what that is.)
So is there a way I can hook up both monitors?
Thanks in advance, ~Tas
Well the 770 has a DVI output right? Get a DVI to VGA adapter. VGA isn't great but you should be okay as long as you have a good cable and adapter. Your 770 probably came with a DVI to VGA adapter.
those aren't VGA/DSUB they're DVI ports on the back of your 770. You can dual link monitors with DVI easily, and if your monitors output VGA (Probably DVI as well) there's a really simple adapter you can use to convert.
As an aside, there are also HDMI-DisplayPort adapters, that other plug next to hdmi, that you can use instead of converting VGA to DVI. So basically, you're not stuck there are easy ways to do this and adapters cost less than $10 usually.
My 770 was used and came with nothing but the card.

I never said it was D-Sub on my 770. I knew they were DVI. And I know what display port is lol. I will probably get a DVI to HDMI converter or maybe the display port to HDMI. Thanks for the suggestion!
K well I bought a nice CableMatters HDMI to display port cable for 12 bucks, thanks for the ideas everyone!
you could also just buy a dvi to hdmi adapter
