Is there a group policy setting I can set to allow this?
I don’t recall seeing this registry or otherwise.
I think it’s either biometrics or creds.
Maybe somebody knows something about this and can give you some guidance.
@rpcribari, according to sources that can not be mentioned here (Chatgpt), you can configure Windows to require both fingerprint and password login. It isn’t supported out of the box. To enforce fingerprint and password login, you need either Windows Hello for Business or Windows security settings and Group Policy. I don’t know how to do this, and I don’t feel comfortable posting Chatgpt’s answer on how to do what you want. Have you considered using a Yubikey instead of a fingerprint or password to log into Windows? I did a quick Google search and found the following web page. Yubico Login for Windows Configuration Guide
It is now possible with Windows Hello for Business. Despite the name, the feature is available to all users with Windows Pro (10 or 11). You’ll need to be confident modifying group policy.
