It would be interesting to compare phones by benchmarking, much like it is interesting to compare GPUs and CPUs on a computer.
I tried two different benchmarking apps on my Sony Xperia Z Ultra (AnTuTu (38179 points) and 3DMark (16984 points)) for my phone and here are the results:
Not too bad for a year old phone.
