Hooking up an external Graphics Crad

Can someone help me I would like to know how to hook up an external graphics card. Using this Card http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_559&item_id=053307

How would I go about hooking it but and what would I need and how much will it cost im looking for as cheap as possible

Are you putting it in a laptop?

Well first of all you computer is going to need a thunderbolt port in it and you will also need one of theese:http://www.magma.com/thunderbolt or one of theese:http://www.sonnettech.com/product/echoexpresschassis.html, and one of theese:http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC913ZM/A/apple-thunderbolt-cable-2-m. If you cant afford that you would have to find someway to jerryrig it up. Also what graphics card you have currently, and do you have a loptop or a desktop?

Hope this helps,

Warren

Thanks for the help, I have a laptop. I was looking to hooking up like in this picture http://t.co/8Rn15rOy . I could not find the post for it to ask questions so i came here. Do you know how to hook it up like the on in the pic

That looks like to me a custom fabricated pcb right there and I don't know where to get one of those, but Im sure someone else on this forum does. Also it mght be more cost efficient to just get a new laptop, one with a better graphics card, although laptops don't come cheap, but neighter does pci expansion.

Also, if the graphics card is not connected via thunderbolt then there will not be enough bandwidth and you card will be bottlenecked and the performance will be greatly decreased.

Ya that might be best

If you aren't running OSX you are going to hit driver issues.

Ever since thunderbolt came out I have only seen it done once on anything that isn't OSX.

And it was windows XP running a Quadro card.
