Recently built a PC and neither HDMI or vga cords will let it connect to a monitor what can be done to fix the ports maybe? Or is it something with the motherboard entirely
Do you see anything on the screen? Do you get beeps on bootup?

Is this on board graphics or a dedicated GPU? Silly question perhaps, but did you plug the power into the video card if it's dedicated?
Also... I read this as "Home built PC won't connect to mothership."
It's somewhat outdated, but the basic idea is the same in all troubleshooting; isolate failure and qualify components.
