Starting on a test machine, I don't trust microsoft at all with this model.
Did you come from Windows 7?
I know for sure you are able to easily mount any ISO or IMG file and it will show up in computer in Windows 8. I am not too sure about making ISO/IMG from disks. Windows 10 also incorporates this feature of easily mounting IMG/ISO files.
I just tested my Daemon tools Lite and its working fine, I received no message to uninstall.
Yep coming from an old win-7 on a dell inspiron for testing. Maybe that's it?
Conflict of interest as windows 8+ came wit its own tools for ISO's. Simple as that.
