Hitmans DX12 shenanigans go into the next round

So Hitmans second episode just released and DX12 is still a bit of a headscratcher.
To start off Hitman actually looks worse on DX12, from what I'm reading it won't stream in the highest resolution textures, because the developers have trouble with VRAM managment so they just turn it down a notch. Also the lighting is a bit milky.
Hitman automatically makes maximum texture details and resolutions higher than 1080p unavailable if your GPU has 3GB of vram or less. Now everyone told them that's stupid and they patched it so there is a launcher option to disable that. That weakens the DX12 texture problems a bit but it's still not quite up there with DX11, here is a comparison between a 980ti@DX12, 980ti@DX12 without the vram cap, r9nano@DX11 and r9nano@DX12 without the vram cap. http://www.pcgameshardware.de/commoncfm/comparison/clickSwitch.cfm?id=131725

Not all is bad about it, it does bring better performance, but DX12 certainly isn't completely figured out yet.
Some performance comparisons (GPU&CPU) for your viewing pleasure aswell.

Any thoughts to share?

What to say? Developers have been lazy as hell for the past 8 years, now that they get work to do, something like this happens...
I regard this as trial and error.
