Lately my 7970's been getting pretty toasty (61-63 at idle and 85 at full load.) It's the Diamond version and I also noticed a performance hit (10-30 FPS on some games.) I recently got dual monitors. Could that be the problem? Any help would be appreciated!
If you are running ths game on both monitors i.e. resolution x 2 then yes! the gpu will have to work harder to draw 2 high res images for the monitors, could also explain the temps, trying plauing on 1 monitor and seeing if the temps go down and you get you fps back.
