Hey Logan What AMP do you use

Hey Logan, Just wandering what amp you use and your opinion on tube amp and tube amp Hybrids.

The reason I am asking is because I am looking for an amp, it's my first time getting an amp and I'd like a good one.

I'm also asking what you think of tube amp hybrids cause I found one on Amazon I read the reviews and most of them said it was good good but I'd like your opinion on it.

Here is the link to it if you want to check it out it's call the "Bravo Audio V2"

Would love to here your opinion. :D

He uses a Mayflower Electronics Objective 2....I advise the same....pure sound, uncolored, and just good quality amp

It's a good one. Mayflower is alright, if your in that price range.

Sadly I don't have the money for that, which is why I was looking at low priced AMP's.

If you can solder I will send you a schematic for one. It was designed by ChuMoy. If you throw some money at me I will build it for you, If you don't want to/ cannot solder.

I can solder and I would love to see the schematic's, But If you where to build it for me I could only throw about $10 right now Just got my self a new mouse cost my $100 but next week hopefully I'll have some money to burn

$10 wont get me very far. Ill put up my combined schematic and the website that it came from.

Here is the site.

Here are the schematics for it

I use the Battery PS rather than the AC so here is the schematic for that.

If you want, Ill send you the leftover parts I have for it. You will have to pay shipping and a small amount though. I cant afford to give them out for free, sorry.

How much would it cost me to have you build it for me?

Hm. I will have to go over the cost it took to build it myself. I will edit this comment with the price within a day or so. (Or maybe a few hours, just depends on what happens)

EDIT: Looks like $35 for all the parts unless you want it to be in a box, the box I ordered is still in China so it will take a while (Box was ~$15 because I wanted aluminum) If you want the price breakdown just ask.

Then there will be a labor fee, but it should not take too long. First time it took about 2.5 days of work to figure out placement of the parts. Should be much faster now. It will probably take about a day to put it all together. Maybe $10-$20 for time? (I will try to lower it as much as possible, I might not even charge for it at all. Depends on how much trouble it gives me)

So around $45-$55 for just the circuit with all of the necessary parts but no enclosure. I think RadioShack sells project boxes that are under $10.

How does that sound? The price will most likely be less. It should take about a week or two for the parts I need to buy to arrive, then the next available weekend will be spent soldering all together. Don't forget about shipping costs though.

Sounds good but, It's not going to happen this week that is for sure.

I don't need a protective case, I am pretty handy with a forge and some bronze, Or I'll just run it bare.

I will see if I can scrape some money to gether and we will go from there.

Here is what it looks like.

What's the audio quality like? I'm considering making myself an amp (same basic idea, with a few other features) but I'm worried it will sound like crap.

Well, As far as I can tell, with the way I have it set up, It sounds good. It is clear and there is very little if not any distortion. I find that it boosts the bass just a small amount, but that might be because I use the Superlux HD 668B and they are finally getting enough power to do their job. It might also just be my motherboard's built in amp that does not increase bass as well as it should. I am no expert at this, nor an audiophile. The OPA134PA seems to please most. If I can find it again I will link the comparison of OP amps.

Here it is. Its not by ChuMoy, but i believe they were using a similar circuit.

Oh hey, that's pretty cool. I think I can build it for a bit less, but not by much.
