HexOS is a free powerful OS.
I found this the other day, so far it looks amazing. I would love to see how this turns out.
According to the site you can run it as an application in the background of windows, so it's basiclly somewhat like a skin.
It looks pretty crisp. Here is the site if you want to check it out for yourselves.
They seems to be looking for donators, so far they have only 6 backers, which for such an awesome project like theirs.

Haha yeah the name really confused me. It's an application, like a mediacentre.
I've noticed this so many times, people calling stuff for operating systems when clearly they are not.
Well, it's less of an OS, but more of an application. I called it an OS so it would in-turn get more attention on the forums. However according to the dev's blog he does plan on making this a fully fledged OS.
lol, so it makes windows more like a phone os.
