The tek linux channel is really cool, and there probably isn't anything stopping anyone from making stuff to post on the forum, but what if there was some specific area for anyone to make specific guides or something on the forum.
I dunno how to word it exactly but if someone had some interest in gaming in linux or I2P, whatever, there could just be a subforum all for that stuff.
Also what happened to that walkthrough of the secret forest office? You guys were there, said you would do one, then as soon as that little note came out you moved again!
Like the idea of the guides. TekSyndicate wiki anyone? Sure I am not the first one to have this idea - sure you Logan and Wendell had this idea already, but would be great to see it :D, although it would likely be an admin nightmare to manage especially if it is separate from the forum. If this will happen I suggest to somehow integrate it into the forum (like a forum with a wiki widget opposed to a wiki with a comment widget).
In the last forum I was regular we had a subforum for user reviews and articles about hardware. Something like that, where we posted reviews of products we own, some benchmarks on stuff, like quantity of fans for air cooling, color coordination, product reviews... I guess the product reviews is reserved for the TekSyndicate team, but still... Is this what you guys mean, or something completely different and I am waaaaay off....
This could be a full forum thing. I mean I would totally work on code for it, I dunno about anyone else.
But it could be for windows, linux.......
God forbid anyone wants mac things.
In the long run I kinda wish there was a site for TS that functioned like Wikipedia. TekSyndopedia? @Logan can figure it out. He's smart.... Or.... Something. Whatever smart can be defined as on the internet anyways. :P
Feel free to post one and message the mods. As a feature of discourse forums any post can be wiki-fied and pinned provided It's been reviewed and is accurate.
for now it can be put in the linux area, should it need diversification we can make child categories, But the latter probably won't happen unless we have waves of content.
IIRC it was because they were in the middle of moves and because logan works out of home it would violate his privacy.
