Hello I am helping my friend build his gaming PC and I need your advice on the matter.
My friend is going to be using this build for gaming and wants to run games like Battlefield 4, Rust, Witcher 3, and other games that require a lot of juice out of the PC. He is looking for nothing but steady 60fps on a 1920x1080p screen which is included in the build. It is important that the build stays no more than 960$ no matter what it means we'll have to shave off. Thank you for taking your time to help.
Here is the PC that I've put together: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4YkHTW
Witcher 3 should do fine on the build, Rust never runs well on anything so whatever, BF3 and 4 will do just fine.
I would bump the PSU up to a 600 or 750 watt, you are cutting it way too close with a 550W PSU.
Otherwise it's a fine rig. You can drop the price more by getting a case like the N400, which will cost a little less than what you have right now.
Looks decent, I'd say you're in good shape ... Will say that I've had one too many Twin Frozr fans fail on me for my liking so that I tend to look for other options when buying graphics cards. @VXAce makes a good suggestion about saving a little money on the case as well ... With your current parts list, you're over budget with a little bad luck on those rebates, also 550W is probably a bit short to feel super safe running an 8350 and a 290.
Good replies so far, I'm playing around with the list a bit to shave a few more dollars off and I'll see to adding more power as you two have suggested
I did a bit of playing around and I got to this build:

I changed it to a Intel/NVIDA build for about the same price. However, would the micro ATX motherboard and the Mid Tower Case be compatible?
