Helpful video to show to non-geeks

Could you guys PLEASE do a video that I can refer people to with help for removing spyware, getting a good antivirus, and making sure your network is reasonably secure? I have SOOO many people ask me how to do it, and I have to help them all...one at a time...its horrible...for us nerds getting rid of "PC Optimizer Pro" and "Ultimate Download Manager for Windows" is an obvious move, but unfortunately the general population doesn't understand that they've fallen into the trap...and I have to keep explaining to them ALL of these tips for keeping their PC secure...even the little things like "Don't download any so-called 'download managers'"...they just go download all this crap within 2 weeks of me cleaning it off...and when they get a new PC they don't know what to remove and what to keep...and when they get a new PC they don't know how to pick one thats worth the money (the biggest mistake people make in buying PCs is thinking that the crappy Intel graphics will be able to play their games...I have to keep explaining to them why my laptop with an AMD APU does so much better even though it costs the same...)

PLEASE HELP ME TEKSYNDICATE

you may as well title the video "herding cats"

non geeks not allowed.

The content you listed is covering such a broad range that it could not all be effectively explained in one video.  However, I do understand your pain.

In the meantime, If these are people who can learn fairly quickly try possibly to go with explaining each concept and perhaps walk them through how to properly do a software install (how to avoid the software crap).  As well as cautioning, explaining, and helping those who may soon be buying new hardware.

When I clean peoples PCs or fix their browsers (you know, a million search toolbars and random pop ups all the time) I explain to them that if they download anything to hit advanced and untick all optional/additional software or to skip all extra software offers. Nobody in my house is allowed to download anything without permission from me lol.

Same here lol. Until I put Linux on their PCs and taught them how to use repos. Now I don't have to fix shit.

The problem is that knowing them they'll treat Linux like Windows, and they'll break it...if they could just do a video on general PC security tips (getting a good antivirus, how to install programs safely and why you should click "Advanced", and how you identify what's bloatware and what's not) that would be FANTASTIC

This should work, it does cover malware removal: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rQjLpR9Ruc
