so i was wondering what the difference between majoring in computer science and computer engineering ?
are the job field different or does on just simply pay more attention to the theory part and the other to hardware ?
any amount of help would be greatly appreciated , but the more details the better
Computer science would be good for the network admin and IT fields whereas computer engineering would be more hardware or implementation of hardware which would be good for development and or maintenance on systems and sub systems. any other input from anyone else?
csci is also mostly programming. not sure about comp. eng.
Colleges that offer CSci are more numerous than those that offer Comp. eng. as well. pretty sure that most 4-year colleges and universities offer CSci, but I know of only 3 in my state that offer C.Eng. all 3 are schools with eng. programs in other fields.
