I have been playing the Witcher 3 recently. However, after a while of play, the game crashes. In the error log I get an error with an Event ID of 1002.
The program witcher3.exe version 3.0.4.50268 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

I have same problem, I'm using the same damn driver from nvidia and it will just crash after running around some minutes (i get display driver stopped working but it's successfully recovered - ftw right) - i have 2-way 780ti sli here and getting those damn crashes. I'm quite sure that its related with the amount of vram 780ti have (which in my case is 3gb). Basically the game will run out of the memory. If you turn down the settings and problem goes away - you know it's vram (what in my case is the problem).
I'm basically collecting money for latest titan - just because I'm so sick of this nvidia vram limitation sale scheme. I just want to play games without messing with the god damn settings all the time. Btw I can play witcher 3 on ultra (60fps) with no problems (and yes i have overclocked those suckers), but the fact i have only 3gb of vram makes it crash almost like a clockwork. Rumors are that they will release a game patch next week - so it may or may not fix those issues - but I don't have any faith in this.
I am running the game with Ultra at 1080p at mostly 60FPS. However, I turned down the resolution to 1920 * 1080 from 4K. When I run the game in 4K I get like 20 FPS, but the game doesn't crash.
run it without steam worth a shot..., itself there's no data on whats up with it.

check for dumps should be named such as: witcher3.exe_crash_20150420_053430578.crashinfo
This is just example file and send it to cdpr (you can open it from notepad or something similar - all info is there in clear text) on top of the file is reason why it crashed
I can't remember off the top of my head and I do not have my laptop. But the info you posted says to look for it and a quick search online also said to look for the logs to get more info on what is actually causing the issue.
I did this a couple days ago. I left my computer unattended because it was taking too long. I don't recall it fixing anything. And I check Malwarebytes and my installed programs often. I also look at the command prompt to see if anything is running I don't want. I just believe my CPU cannot simply handle the game.
