Ok, so I’ve been struggling with this for a while then decided to come here as it’s the only place I’ve always gotten helpful answers.
Here’s the situation: I live in a university town and get my internet from a wifi hotspot (thus no router access, call this “ISP-spot”). I would connect to this hotspot with an old laptop I had laying around, then using the netsh wlan method to re-share the internet over my own wifi-hotspot (lets call this “My-spot”), so my PC, as well as my girlfriends laptop could connect to that network (thus allowing me to use only a single account on ISP-spot but connecting 2 computers). recently however, my PC’s wireless card has started giving issues and would disconnect for no reason which is a major pain in the ass when gaming online.
My PC is however close enough to connect via ethernet, so my question is this: Would it be possible to share the internet from ISP-spot to both My-spot and Ethernet connection?
The laptop connecting to ISP-spot an thus hosting My-spot is running windows 8
I hope someone can help, sorry if the wording is unclear, but I’m not sure how else to put it…
