So my issue is i cant remember my steam login for the life of me and i go to reset it but its requiring my mobile authenticator code which when i restored my iPhone the app was lost and if i go to the steam section to remove the authenticator from my account it requires my password that i do not remember.. So im in a bit of a dousey here. Ive explained to tech support but they say i need to verify my old credit card that i cut up and threw in the trash when that card expired.
So what am i to do? Ive tried what people say to uninstall then it removes the authenticator or steam guard but that didnt seem to work. I need help some how because i have hundreds of dollars invested into my steam library and i really do not want all that to be lost. Thanks.
If you have your old credit card statements that will be fine, otherwise you'll need to contact the credit card provider and get them to send you out a statement from whatever dates are required for evidence.
What about your authenticator recovery code? If you dont have that, you are supposed to be screwed, but I guess they want to go easy. Im not sure how you can forget your username, password, wipe your phone, and lose your recovery code.
No, i know my username, the email on my account is still the same and so is my phone number. The only problem im having is i forgot my password and i lost the recovery code long while ago but i never needed it until now.
Okay so problem has been solved by steam support. I sent my bank statements to them and they confirmed the transactions and now i have my account back.
