Help with overlocking the 6300

Before I commit to buying any of this, I just want to make sure it's going to all coordinate well. I'm currently using a 700watt 80+ psu, so we should be good there. Here's what I plan on getting for my upgrades-

Currently I have five case fans. I DID NOT pick out a cooler yet, and I would really appreciate anyone who is willing to help me find one that is decent. 

My main questions here are, did I pick out good parts for OCing? I don't know anything about overclocking. I've heard of people getting this thing at 5ghz, but for me, I was just thinking somewhere between 4 or 4.5. I got 1866 kingston hyper x, and 8gb of it. Should be set for ram, right? How does this motherboard do when it comes to overlocking?

I to am interested in such a query. I have a Hyper 212 evo. So i'be been told I can bring it up to 4.2. I have the same Motherboard(which the UEFI BIOS is great!). But I also have different Crucial RAM at 1600Mhz

1600 shouldn't hurt you. I just went with 1866 to get the full potential from the cpu. I do want to know how that motherboard is for OC'ing, so if you decide to go that route then let me know.
