Help with non-gamers PC Build

Hi

I have decided to build a pc to replace my aging Dell 530s. I do web design photo-editing and the usual stuff but I am not a gamer. I want a modern rig with an Intel chip and USB3 SATA, SSD . I probbly don't need a video card if the onboard graphics is Intel's HD4000.I'd like to stay under $1000.

Thanks for any advice,

George

I was considering these parts:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H ATX  LGA1155 Motherboard  ($109.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($77.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Samsung 830 Series 64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($131.97 @ CompUSA)
Case: Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply  ($82.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer  ($15.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit)  ($90.56 @ Amazon)
Total: $849.45

alright I'll get to work then

Hello,

Can nobody offer any help?

George

sorry totally forgot about this

HD 4000 shares resources withthe CPU so it slows do the CPU, you can also get Open GL acceleration from it in photo shop

SSD is faster and larger

higher quality Mobo with more features and overclockablity (higer resale way into the future if you don't OC)

Faster Ram

if you want to cool your CPU better but not OC then get this heat sink

Thanks,

I was considering that ASUS mobo also but had no real info to make a choice between it and the gigabyte. Can I ask about the Roswill PSU? Are they good quality? I know I don't need much but I've never considered Roswill.

ANd thanks for the info,

George

I've used 60 of the green series personally and no problems as well as recommending them to like

OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!  people on here, and none of them have had any problems either

Ok, that's quite an endorsement!

Thanks for your help.
