Hi all.
A year or so ago my grandpa was given a tablet as a gift for attending one of those time share ceminars where all you have to do is act like you changed your mind about getting a time share and they still have to give you the advertised gift.
Anyways here we are now and the tablet hasn't been turned on or used in a few months because my grandpa never had time to use it. I know it's a very cheap tablet but his technological needs amount to email and msnbc.com so it's more then enough for him.
He recently wanted to start using it because he has the time on his hands but when he went to plug it into the charger it wouldn't charge. He asked me to take a look at it and sure enough, it won't charge. We no longer have the packaging but it came with a case and the user manual is inside.
For the life of me I can not determine exactly what this tablet is... The user manual does not even give a brand, and there is no branding on the tablet itself either. The user manuals title is "SC-76M110 Series" at least I think so. The second 1 and the 0 are slightly overlapping so it might possibly be a capital D but I highly doubt it.
Anyways a google search of this brings up nothing, at least for me. But looking inside the manual shows something interesting.
As an aside, the tablet says it runs Google Android 4.0.
The manual claims that the tablet has a built in polymer battery and that, "If you do not use this device for a long time, please charge/release it once a month to avoid deep discharge."
So with that I think I'm on to something. Do you guys know what tablet it is? Is it more likely that the battery is broken, or that the seemingly undamaged charger is broken (we don't have another plug like it to test) or is it possible that it is in "deep discharge" and if so, can it be awoken?
Thanks in advance, ~Tas
