Hey guys i was wondering what you think of my build but im stuck between a i3- 3220 or a Amd FX-6300
Heres my two builds
Intel i3
ASUS P8Z77-M Motherboard
Gigabyte Radeon HD7870 2GB Overclocked
Western Digital WD Blue 1TB
Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Corsair CX-500 Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply
And the Amd Build is
Amd FX-6300 with a ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard with the rest of items above
Any help would be appreciated
I'd say these are quite equal. But I'd get the i3 build because then you have the option to get an i5 or something
wenn i look pure to those build specs i would definitely go for the AMD FX6300, it will out perform the i3 in every new game, in some older games that are made for 1 or 2 cores then the i3 could be a little bit better, but for todays games definitely the FX6300 it destroys an i3.
And if you can afford a decent 990fx chipset board you can allways upgrade to a FX8350 or some of the new FX chips next year. But staying with the Asus M5A97 R2.0 is also great

I wold get the FX-6300 too because it has more cores that means it future proof.
