So I was given a broken Acer XB280HK monitor, it has a beautiful 4k panel which works, the problem is with the
715g6927-m01-000-006n or the G-sync module which seats in it. I was wondering if anyone knew about fixing monitors and can help me out.
Symptoms:
monitor boots but as windows tries to detect the monitor rapidly connects and disconnects from the display-port input (this is the only input). At first its slow and you can see the desktop being rendered on the panel but this devolves into just black-screen and eventually the "no signal" screen.
