Help with Build $1,000

Hello!  I'm going to be building my first Gaming PC and I have come up with this parts list.  My knowledge of computers is fairly basic with just normal maintenance and up keep.  I've got a $1,000 budget but will happily stay under it.  I didn't add any peripherals to this list because I already have them, but please feel free to correct me or help me with cost/performance.

The games that I currently play have been limited due to owning nothing but cheap computers.  I currently play WoW and Diablo (although my now dead laptop barely played either).  I do plan to OC and I plan on getting other games in the future since I'll finally have a computer that can handle them.  I also like to multitasking programs and dual box as well as a small amount of photoshopping and amateur video editing. If I left out any information, please ask. :)

Thanks for your time!

You could put less into the processor and more into the graphics card and get some better performance. Just my opinion,

get a rosewell challenger, blackbone, or redbone, just as good cooling or better, also that ram as bad latency

CPU/Heatsink

Mobo/HDD

Case/Ram

GPU

ODD/PSU

SSD

after you get your $15 card from newegg and order these

Attach both to your CPU heatsink, attach the fan that was on the heatsink on the side vent as intake

If you can get your OS at the price you say you can, then you'll be right under $1000, Asus is a better brand, and it overclocks better due to Digi VRMs, my ram had better latencies, the heatsink I chose is also magnitudes better than the 212+, which it would only get you to 4Ghz, the TPC812 with the cosair fans are better than most closed loop water coolers

Wow! Thanks for the tips!  I have to admit, picking parts is a little overwhelming.  I will definitely be going your route with things. :)

if you want to coolify your case later on, I recommend these fans, the orange blades with white leds are particularly nice if you like the LED thing
