Help With Budget Gaming Computer

Alright so this is my first gaming pc in the past i've only had labtop that were not meant for gaming and my parent finally understand that i need a gaming desktop so here the parts i chose

  • Budget. How much are you willing to spend? 400-420$
  • Where do you live (what country),  and what currency do you use? United States and Dollars
  •   -Is there a retailer you prefer? Nope
  • Do you need or already have peripherals? (this can add to costs) I need a monitor and keyboard
  • What will you be using your future computer for? Gaming? Rendering? Mix of both? Or is this a home media PC? Gaming, School Stuff, Maybe rendering and recording
  • Do you overclock or want to get into overclocking? not so sure
  • Do you plan on going for custom watercooling now, or in the future? i dont think so
  • OS. Do you need a new one? no

If you Game-

  • What kind of settings do you like or what FPS do you want to play at? I can play games on medium with 20 fps
  • What resolution will you be playing at? //or would like to play at. Which ever
  • What kind of games do you like to play? Shooter, Strategy, Casual, Rpg, 
  • What specific game will you be playing (if applicable) Half life Series, fallout new vegas, garry mod, team fortress 2, left 4 dead 2, and bioshock 2

 

 If you don't have peripherals -

  • What kind of keyboard do you prefer? Mechanical, scissor, membrane, etc.) Any 
  • What type of mouse-grip do you have? Palm, claw, combination? 
  • what kind of games do you play? (mmo vs fps, for button management) I play mostly fps and rpg
  • What size monitor are you looking for, and what resolution? Screen type (IPS, S-IPS, TN, etc.), hertz (60, 120, etc.) Any for me is good

You would be much better off getting 2 x 2 GB instead of 1 x 4 GB.  This way you can at least dual-channel them.  Also, is an optical really necessary..?  You can use a flash drive to install pretty much any OS out there.

Go with the 760k CPU. It's usually only $10 more but runs a little faster and has some architectural improvements over the 750k. 

15" 16ms VGA monitor? if you whant a dinosaur monitor go and get one from a seconhand store for $5 dont spend 70 bucks on one! O_O you have no HDMI TV?
