Help with a xbox replacement?

Hey everyone, I just need help making a PC for $400ish to get into PC gaming. I know it isn't a lot to work with, but it will mainly be usedmainly  for MineCraft, Valve and Steam games, and some FPS's. Thanks so much in advance, and I hope you guys can help me. If you need me to provide more info, tell me.

  • Budget: $400
  • Country: U.S.A
  • Is there a retailer you prefer: Nope, anything from the US
  • Do you need peripherals: No, but I need a keyboard and mouse. Those aren't included in the budget though
  • What will you be using you computer for: Gaming and Internet surfing.
  • Do you overclock or want to get into overclocking: Probably not.
  • Do you plan on going for custom watercooling now, or in the future: Doubt it.
  • OS. Do you need a new one: Nope.
  • What kind of settings do you like or what FPS do you want to play at: I like higher FPS of course, and I don't mind lower settings to achieve them.
  • What resolution will you be playing at: 1080
  • What kind of games do you like to play: Valve and Steam games, open-world type games, first person shooters.
  • What specific game will you be playing: TF2, L4D2, MineCraft, various CoD's, Just Cause 2, GTA.

Watch the budget/kill your console vids and just adjust for newer parts

This would work good and will give great performance at 1080p will have a lot of room for games and can add another 4gb of ram later.  If you need to you can drop the graphics card to a hd7770 if you need to save a little

I would recommend a pentium/FX-6300 or a i3 if you have the budget of one and a 7850.

Made some change's to you build as the 7850 wipes the floor with the 650 ti and added a better case.

the last kill your console video is a year old, so I think that's outdated.

ragingh4vok, I know the AMD 760k isn't on pc partpicker but I would get that instead. Better clock speed for $5 more.
