Help with a monitor

hello, I need some help and i thought "Hey i don't know jackshit about monitors, I better go on the internet :D"

So I'll need two monitors. One high end 1440p 144hz monitor for games and stuff. And a secondary screen, maybe 1080p 60hz, or something along those lines. these should preferably be the same size.

feel free to suggest anything. like should i go with two 1080p screens or "1440p 144hz screens cost too much, you should go with three 1080p monitors" and well yeah...

thanks

Don't know for sure, but I think the only monitor that covers your 1440p + 144Hz requirement iks the Asus ROG Swift for ~$800.

edit:

JayzTwoCents was looking for recommendations for new monitors a while ago and he ended up picking up 3x 24" 144Hz 1080p Asus VG248QE. Although, he has a lot of horsepower, regarding his GPUs (I think at the time he shot the video about them he was rocking 3x GTX780). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzxPdCZbXeA&list=UUkWQ0gDrqOCarmUKmppD7GQ

Yeah he had 3 780's in the original video, but upgraded to 3 980's. He did say though that he was able to drive a single panel just fine with just 1 980 enabled.

To OP - I have a trip monitor 1080p setup (60hz ips Dell's) and I still only game on a single panel. Just most games i found it hurts not helps. Racing games and space sims though are awesome in surround.

I'm also very OCD so i had to have 3 for balance. 2 just felt weird, since 1 monitor will always be your primary.

Only 1440p 144hz i could find anywhere as well was the ROG Swift.

HGere are some 1080p 144hz options for really cheap - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umfg6aab01
