I would love some help with creating a Gaming PC that can run current games at 60FPS or better. I need perfierals such as a Monitor, Mouse, and keyboard as well. I have a budget of $1700-$1800. I would like to have a i7 prosessor, As I want to not only use this as a gaming machine, but as a small video editing machine. A small SSD is prefered. And Windows 7 Home Prenium should be added to the list of costs.
I am not very good at computer parts, but however good with working with them. It seems newegg is the best place to buy parts from, so...I want to have prices from newegg as well. Thank you for your time...And helping me with this. I am in need of a new computer, as my graphics card blew on my OLD pc.
Also, I will NOT overclock, because this heats up the proessor and ends up making it have a shorter lifespan.
I can start off with a few suggestions that might help fit your needs. For the RAM I would go with either Kingston Hyper X 1600 2X8 or G Skill Ripjaw Series 2X8 GB. The CPU cooler would be covered well with a Cooler Master Hyper N 520, as it is a dual fan configuration. The Sharkoon Drakonia 000SKDM mouse is very nice with 11 buttons and drivers you can set up various macros. As far as an SSD I would go with a Kingston Hyper X 120GB and a Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB for storage. For a mother board I would go with either a Asus or Gigabyte as their both quality manufactures. Asus has under the 1155 socket the ROG series such as the Maximus V Gene or the Sabertooth Z77. Both are excellent motherboards. As far as Gigabyte goes they have the GA-Z77X-UP4 and I would also recommend the GA-Z77X-UP5. A really good CPU would be an Intel i5 3570K 1155 socket. As far as a power supply, go with a SeaSonic minimum 80+bronze certified unit. I am not much for recommending GPU so I would wait to see what others say. All the items I have suggested are on Newegg.com so you can see and read for yourself the costs and customer feedback. I hope this has been some help and enjoy your build!
from what I have found, Sony Vegas supports OpenCL and renders faster with AMD's cards, so I woudl also recomend a 7970.. infact Z's build looks pretty solid :)
as someone already said, I can understand why you would like an i7, but if you dont edit/render that much then a i5 3570k would do great for gaming and editing!
