Hello community,
Recently me and my nerd herd have been experiencing an intense amount of ping spikes in our gaming set-up. Good friends of mine all meet up (about five of us) every other weekend, for a kind of kick back - LAN party, you could say. Well, over the past two months or so we've been pinging out of our games. Just some background on the setup:
We have two sometimes 3 PCs running, normally 2 playing League of Legends, and another on World of Warcraft or just browsing the internet. Maybe an occasionally laptop or two, but never any harsh usage of bandwidth. An occasional PS3 will be playing some meta fps game, but not often. For about four months we've done this, with no hiccups in connection, no struggle for highway space on our bandwidth. Everything just flowed, and now we hit 500 - 2000 ping spikes regularly. We don't know if it's the switch being faulty or just our internet provider. It was random, and it hasn't changed. Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks - SnrHasay
