Hello all,
Today, I see a video on YouTube of a leaked Dell XPS 15 9560 webpage with a 1050 nVidia GPU and Kaby Lake...
Now. I have a Dell XPS 15 9550 (i7, 960m, 32Gb DDR4 and 1Tb SSD) and a 2015 MBP (i7, 16Gb DDR3, 512Gb SSD). I have only recently got back to looking at the 9550 after my last fall out with Windows as it is holiday season and I fancy playing some games in the only time I can take a break from my work.
The other day I tried to use the Dell for work again and the desktop scaling issue in Adobe reared its ugly head again reminding me why I gave up with Windows.
Now, Mac OS knows how to do desktop scaling properly. My 32" 4k monitor I set to a retina scaled resolution and everything looks perfect, regardless of the application.
Windows scaling doesn't come close. I set my 32" monitor to 125% and laptop to 150% which is just perfect and most programs look great. Then I open up Photoshop or any CC app. The choice is 100%, 200% or Auto (which appears to be 200% only).
I can not use it at 100%, especially not on a 15" laptop screen and 200% is too far in the opposite direction.
Is there anyway I can force the app to say 125% or even 150% instead by editing something in the registry or a file?
If this one bug bear can be resolved I will be happy to give my Mac the boot. This issue may seem trivial and I guess loads of windows users work round it but coming from Mac OS it is simply unbearable to be dealing with this issue.
Thank you all in advance, even if it is bad news and it can't be resolved.
