sorry if this seems rather inept but i didn't know if this file is a virus is or not, my norton doesnt pick it up so on
one hand i think it isn't but th other i do because of the name and the fact i didnt have access to it when i found it
as i wasn't an Admin on my Admin account, i am really confused and wanted to know if you guys could help because Logan and Windell are always saying how the community is great here.
It's file name is: 7e37d773f073510de8911b1daaac43
Inside of it is a bunch of files which name all in the thousands, between 1 and 4, when i try to open some of the folders it says i dont have permission and when i try to open some of the pictures it says windows wont allow these photos to be viewed.
Any help would be much appreciated, sorry if the is a stupid problem, still thank you to everyone
I have snips, i just dont know how to post them in a comment, sorry, it just says insert/edit image, not attach file. Do you know how to attach screen shots? and thankyou for replying:D
Glad to see that I am not the only one. I had this exact same thing on my storage drive of my computer, our numbers for the file name varried though. I never did figure out what it was. The way that you delete it, since I assume like mine it tells you its locked, is I had to take ownership of the file then had to take ownership of all the sub folders within it then had to delete the sub folder contents only when the subfolders were empty could I delete the subfolder. Only when all the sub folders were deleted would it let me delete the primary.
As to if its a virus or not, I directly scanned the file and came back with nothing, what was weird is within all of those sub folders were a type of dll file and a eula. I tried to see what the eula was for but it wouldnt ope, it still said locked even when I took ownership.
Thst is exactly the same as me with the eula files, i will get on that now, thankyou for helping me much appreciated. Sorry i didn'y respond i was asleep b ecause i live in england and it was pretty late
