Well, you should get a Z87 board if you want to be overclocking.  H87 chipsets don't allow for overclocking.

You are spending way too much if you are just gaming. You don't need an i7, 16GB of RAM, or an 850W PSU for a single GPU gaming rig and an optical drive? Ehh...

yup, my thoughts exactly. Listen to this guy. your Rig was overkill. you would have been wasting money on performance you would have never seen.
