I used to be really into the latest phone tech and the latest phone release, but that interest died since phones now are all the same to me.
I’m currently on a Nexus 6p and would like to upgrade. My focus is:
Screen real estate (large Screen / phablet)
Screen quality
Productivity (like split screen)
Good support in XDA for ROMing
Large battery
MicroSD
Should I wait for Note8/ pixel2 XL / LG V30? Or is there something else I could look at?

Min/Max screen size?
what do you mean by quality? OLED or 4k? little confused there
How long of a run time are you expecting? You can have a large battery with terrible runtime with fast hardware
How big of a microSD card are you aiming for?

LG v30/Pixel2 XL/LG V30 and One plus 5 will all have nice screens, the Pixel and the oneplus 5 wont have an sd card slot though
one plus 5 will have 8gbs of ram and that can help.
Any. Bigger the better. I like having room and a larger onscreen keyboard
Good color, doesn’t need to be crazy res since higher res kills battery. I do like OLED though

I loved the Note series but seemingly after the Note 5, it never seemed like a “note” anymore, just an S phone with a stylus. It’s like they killed the bigger screen form factor.
