Help passing internet from Mikrotik router through to Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro

For whatever reason my ISP does not support connecting my Ubiquiti router directly to the fibre ONT.

So I have to go through their Mikrotik hap ac2 to get internet, but I just can’t pass through the internet connection to my Ubiquiti router. If I plug it directly into the Ubiquiti switch the internet passes through just fine, but not the router. I’ve spent hours online trying to figure this out.

So if someone can help point me in the right direction I’d be so grateful. So i am hoping to get help with 1 of 2 solutions:

  • Figure out how to extract my ISP details from my Mikrotik router and put them on the Ubiquiti router, so i don’t need the Mikrotik router.
  • If that isn’t possible then I need to pass the internet through to the Ubiquiti router and then have the Ubiquiti router be the DHCP server.

Check the “Interfaces” and the “Routing” tabs. There may be interesting things configured in either (or both) of them.

@Sally-san You never updated your post. Where you able to complish your goal. What type of Ubicquity router do you have? What steps did you try to complish your goal? Are you tying to accomplish two different networks one for a home lab or are you trying to get rid of the ISP provided router.

If you are still having issues dm me and we can get it sorted.
