Help! Overclock mishap!

Someone please help me! I just built my first pc and I was messing with overclocking the video card and the screen went black so I turned it off and on again and it came on until it got to my desktop and it went black again so I turned it off and pulled out the graphics card and still nothing. It turns on as in all the fans start spinning and light up but nothing on the screen. Please help I'm freaking out over here

remove the watch battery from your MoBo

wait thirty seconds

replace battery

pray

boot

And what will it mean if it doesn't work

you broke something.

It still didn't turn on

What did I break

probably the GPU you were OCing

Then why won't it turn on without it

  1. DONT panic
  2. What mobo, cpu and gpu do you have
  3. What OS are you using and what overclocking software?

what are your specs?

I was using msi afterburner

Windows 10

what happens when yuo try to power the machine on - nothing at all or does it run but not output any video?

The fans light up and spin but no video onscreen

OK so you need to boot into Windows under safe mode, and remove the overclock you put on your card

Nothing comes on the screen. It stays black

even under safe mode?

It doesn't even pop up with the msi logo. I press power and then nothing happens on the screen

have you double checked that all power cables are plugged in properly, that the screen has power, and have you trried using a different output socket on your gpu?
