Help! Nieghbors Stealing Internet

Hey, is there a way to tell if someone is stealing my internet? I always a restricted network that has speeds up to 32 upload and download. I took a bit off CISCO classes but had to drop them so keep in mind I am a layman when it comes to networking.

I just go into my router settings and have a look at what computers/devices are connected to the router.

Go to your router's webpage, normally it's 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 if you haven't changed it. Login using your username and password, which is admin and admin respectively. If it doesn't work look it up in your router's manual or website. Check the device list, if there are more devices than you own, then someone is leeching. You can use a strong WPA2 password, if they are persistent just make a MAC address whitelist of all your devices. hope it works

If you're in for a little hobby experiment, have a look at this:

Alternatively, many routers can be set up to accept only specific MAC addresses, or can be set up to accept only a certain number of devices.

Go into your router's settings and see who is connected and try to verify each device, if you find one that isn't yours, then that may be a sign. If you're really unsure, just change your router's ssid and password etc.
