so i install a new WD Caviar black 1 tb hardrive in my pain in the ass cosmos s
then when i finally get the hardrive in and connect the sata and power connection i get nothing on bios from the hardrive.
I have replacing the cable and that does not help.
oh by the way i have a 500 gb hitachi that i am running vista on
any suggestions
i think is dead going to return it tomorow at best buy

tried different sata cable and plugged in sata power about to test to see if it is vibrating

it turned out not to be hardrive but actually sata power cable tested it right before i went to bestbuy lol

i have 3 western digital hdds in total, 2 500s and a 320 in another computer.
running segates here and no problem
My Caviar Black was NEVER DOA (At first it was...). Now I'm waiting for them to introduce their 2TB CB. But I don't think there's any latest hearing from them. This is the only pic of the HDD:
