So I have a problem with Windows 10. And Google has not been much help so i figured i would ask you fine gentlemen.
A week or two ago there was an update for windows 10 technical preview and after the update was completed I no longer has working sound and I could not access my PC settings and my start button does not work. Not the one on my keyboard but the one on screen. Even when I click the start button there is no response.
I has speakers plugged in to my computer but it does not recognize that they exist. I re-downloaded audio drivers but no luck.
Since I cannot access my setting I cant do an OS repair. I have my important files backed up on an external hard drive and I am ready to reset and re-install because I have everything backed up that I need backed up.
Any help or advice is very much appreciated and I trust you guys more than anyone else on the internet.
Let me know if you want or need more info. Just ask what you want to know and I will tell you what you need to know to the best of my abilities.
Thanks for your time guys. I hope I can fix this soon.
I was not able to find out how to rollback due to the fact that I would have to access PC settings to do it and i cant right now because no apps that would be on start menu are working and my start menu does not work. :/
You do realize your getting annoyed at bugs in beta software?
The whole idea of the 'Technical Preview' was to find bugs and issues before launch. By using it you agree that your data can be harvested to achieve that.
Good news fellas I fixed it. Everything is running as it should be. I was not able to fix it any other way except do a roll back to 9926 but if someone has a solution or fix for new update I am more than willing to try.
yeah by final straw i meant i was teetering on the edge of going back to linux. i really liked win10 right up to the January or February update. Then they changed so many of the great features and put in shit
