So guys, I have decided to finally buy/make a gaming PC.
I have zero experience with PC building as such, and I am contemplating whether to learn myself or get it done at http://ironsidecomputers.com .
My budget is 1500$ give or take a few bucks and I want something that can pretty much play anything at extreme if possible, and can keep me running for a good few years. Also, I live in the middle east and shipping costs are a bit irritating, so any advice on deals for international shipping?
If you have a look at my profile my build all up is around $1500 australian built over a period of time and will play pretty much anything at maxed graphics comfortably.
Mainly, if that is your budget the core components you will be wanting are:
CPU: Either the i5 3570k or, (based on logans latest videos) you could look at the amd 8350
Motherboard: Don't skmip on this, I did the first time I ever built a computer and it didn't end well, something mid-high range will do you.
Ram: pretty much anything will do, I would reccomend 8gbs or more at at least 1600mhz
GPU: an Nvidia GTX660TI would do you but if you are looking to save a little more money, something like the 7870 should be perfect, will run about the same for less money.
PSU: Get something that is at least 80+ bronze certified, around 650w or more would do, but the more you can afford the safer your computer will be.
round that off with a decent case (my pick at the moment is the coolermaster HAF XM, great bang for buck case but there are many great cases out there these days) and storage will depend on how much you feel you need, it's relatively inexpensive anything by seagate or western digital will do, just make sure it's 7200rpm. Same with monitors, a good 24inch 1080p monitor won't set you back too much and any basic keyboard and mouse will do at least for now, again it all depends on your budget.
I know I've been a little vague with this but I didn't want to feel like I was telling you what to get, I just know (because I own a system very similar to this one) that these parts will be just what you are looking for.
Hmm, I'll give these a look tonight, thanks. I saw Logan's videos too, but well, I was a bit too slow on the uptake and didn't understand all the terms he used, sooo.
Almost entirely gaming, regular photoshop, some programming and an assload of sound editing.
Also, my music alone is about 600gb, so I can't really skimp on the storage.
