Guys, I bought a Razer Copperhead, right? It worked FINE yesterday, but when I turned on my PC today, it lights up..Cursor won't even move, no buttons respond at all! HELP PLEASE! T_T
Did you run a BIOS update? Last time I ran one, my Deathadder stopped working but still lit up...Just restarting fixed it.
Try reinstalling the drivers and updating the firmware, ect. My deathadder gave me problems like that when i first got it.
I just did! My BIOs is the most updated it can be - and it's no longer updated..It worked so fine yesterday..I've also installed the latest drivers and firmware..Omg..I'm going back to exchange this for the G5. =/ (Using a shitty, but reliable Microsoft mouse).
Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in? May seem like a dumb question but alot of people wouldnt try that...
I did that three times..It won't work anymore..It died after 1 day..Wtf..Sigh
Yep, I'm out of ideas...
Can't believe this happened in less than 24 hours...
Yeah, that'd suck, I'd be pissed. Does the Copperhead have a reset button on the bottom? If it does, try unplugging it, push the button, and plug it back in.
Reset button? That button on the bottom of the mouse?
That won't work either..
have you tried uninstalling the drivers then reinstalling them? they might have gotten messed up on the install, and make sure the mouse isnt plugged in when u do the install.
honistly that model might just have poor drivers. i got the Death Adder instead of the Lachesis as the drivers weren't as stable on the Lachesis
I KNOW THE PERFECT FIX FOR THIS
i have had the exact same problem 3 times until i figured it out
I highly recommended this mouse to you, and I wouldnt have if it was bad so dont worry
what you have to do is uninstall the drivers that you installed etc..
then restart the computer like it says
once your computer restarts hit F2 Del or w.e to get into your bios
and in your BIOS Turn "Legacy USB support" From "Auto" To "Off"
Trust me it works
Once you do that, save changes exit your bios andload windows etc..
the mouse will read and work
THEN install your drivers and the cd it came with.
p.s Make sure that when you uninstall the program that you check your C:/program Files for any left overs that didnt get deleted
it would be in a Razer file
if their isnt one then your good to go.
Post back to me if you have any problems!
Turning your Legacy USB support off
works like a charm and its very easy to do.
this will most deffinetly solve your problem.
Hmm, what's legacy USB? My BIOS doesn't have that one...
Its just a feature on what windows xp sets the usb port to
mine was on auto
changed it to off
works
I'm gonna try that now..
EDIT: Won't it make USB keyboards unusable? That's what I've heard..
Sorry for double post, but I don't think it's necessary to edit my previous post.
I got an exchange, and got a G5 instead.
how do you like it?
aweh man, weak -.-
sorry for double post.
but who did you buy it from, tigerdirect newegg???
