Help me please regarding audio problems and adapter for GPU monitar

My son has C7X58 supermicro motherboard . Here is the manual. ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/CDR-X8-UP_1.21_for_Intel_X8_UP_platform/MANUALS/X8SAX.pdf the audio stopped working properly. I have a Creative labs SB0730 sound card ,here is the pics to it. The case is a Coolmaster Stacker 830. There are different audio wires from the case one is HD audio Realtek AC883. Do I need to plug the HD wire audio pin into the front panel on the sound card or the audio into the SPDIF_10 on the sound card.

I bought a Gigabyte RX480 8gb card I have this type of cord to hook up to the monitor besides a VGA . I know it is a DVI port port on the monitor but what kind . What type of cord or adapter do I need to hook the monitor to the GPU.

Will upload pics as soon as possible

I have more pictures to upload but it's not letting me wanted to upload creative Labs SB0730 card. First picture is the monitar connection the second is audio from Coolmaster case.

Well that just nullifies my previous post.

If your video card has a DVI port too then it's fine regardless. Use that instead of the D-sub cables, you don't need it. If the card doesn't then you would have to use an adapter to connect with either the Displayport or HDMI ports on the video card.

If it's dead, then you have to replace it. Otherwise you have to rewire it to fix any mistakes you made.

I took the sound card out and am not sure if I have to plug the HD audio to the soynd card this is all so new to me when I have the sound card plugged in I have an red x ocer the volume saying nothing is plugged in. I Probably don't make any sense

cord for monitar DVI sound card

No reason to do that. If it works then keep it plugged into the motherboard.

Oh wow. You need to get some new DVI cables. You need the dual link variants of the DVI-D cables to make it work between the monitor and the GPU.

@Wan6Saber Can you post me a link from a canadian seller not understanding. I have no idea if the sound card still works properly

Nah I'll give you a link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface This will help you understand the different DVI variants and which ones you NEED to buy. In order for the monitor to work with the GPU.

The sound card you have is an internal one. So that means you have to plug your headphones to the port of it on the back of your case. Now the issue here is the software side of it. So you have to follow the manual, and then install drivers on that computer if necessary.
