I am building a computer that is mainly for gaming. And i mainly play Total War games which are built to play better on intel. But i only have about 700-800$ to be build it. Im caught between going between an amd cpu that i can over clock and a good gpu or an I-5 and a meh gpu. Any one have any advice?
At that price range you should stick with amd but you are gonna max out that game either way you go, most of the games actually. Check this build:

With that cooler you either overclock the 8320 to a stock 8350's performance or the 8350 to something like 4.4 Ghz wich is decent.
