Help me fix my computer and I will worship you as a GOD!

*Major Update*

The reboot loop problem is fixed. The problem now is that whenever I open up a game the PC crashes and resets.

Problem:

The computer works for about 4 hours before shutting down then entering a continuous reboot loop in which it gets to the Welcome screen then starts over.

When did it start?:

The problem started when I entered Empire: Total war and changed the settings to high, then I went to a battle and the computer reset and continuously tried to reboot.

Important Notes:

It was recommended to me that maybe my hard drive was failing so I got a new one. The old one only let mestay on for 1 hour before restarting, this one lets me stay on for 4 hours before restarting.

Launching Crusader Kings II, Super Crate Box does NOT crash the PC                                                                                                                                         Launching Alan Wake, Counter Strike, Empire Total war DOES crash the PC

The Intelburn Test ran fine on standard 10 times

however the second Furmark started my PC reset

Running OCCT GPU 3d test & Power supply test with my OLD GPU works fine, running OCCT GPU 3d test & Power supply test with NEW GPU it crashes in the first few seconds.

It sound like you may have a overheating issue with your gpu

It was working for several weeks before this started happening and the temp in the bios seems normal.

Check your temps...

Also try and remove your GPU, then have your system run a bit. Or remove one of your DIMMs and have your system run... We could rule those out along with your HDD as causing the problems if ever.

Then we can evaluate the other parts later on if the problem persists

Also, is your XMP profile set properly for your RAM in the BIOS?

I dont think I changed anything for the ram in the bios so that might be the problem

it is usually set properly automatically, but there are some boards that give the wrong clock timings. So it might be worth a shot just to see if the timings, mhz, voltages, were set right.

if it still restarts, then try and remove one stick at a time, let it run with one stick, and see if it still restarts. or remove your gpu and run your system. we could rule out those components at the very least...

I have no idea but I'm guessing either a power shortage or High temps

Or wait... I just noticed you are running an AMD processor; wasn't there a conflict of sorts with AMD processors and XP sp3 back in the day? Lemme look for the work around for that. Because my friend also had those restart loops and we found out it was XP sp3 conflicting with AMD processors...

Yes I noticed that as well but I uninstalled SP3 about an hour ago. Hopefully if it doesnt crash in the next few hours that means the problem was fixed. I also just restrarted my PC to get into the bios and didnt have any trouble getting back on.

I just checked the temps and the System is 30 Celcius and the Cpu was 37 celcius

Aite, just let us know if it still reboots...

If ever you do want to use SP3, you could watch this video that gives a workaround

Or visit this site, which is basically where the video got all its info from

I'll be seeing your updates when I wake up LOL its like 1am in this side of the world =p

Good luck, mate!

alright thanks for the help, if it does reboot im gunna try your other suggestions from earlier

check your GPU temps as well, and run memtest

I ran memtest on one stick, im just gunna keep the other one out because theres no point in using 8gb on a 32 bit

I reformated the harddrive and reinstalled windows. Im gunna install everything one by one until I encounter the problem.

it's likely not related (but may be at the same time), coolmax makes bad quality PSU's and you probably should swap your out before it fails (here is a vid from hardware secrets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVqv5-vgDXk)

Alright heres an important note that im hopeing somone smart will be able to figure somthing out from.

Launching Crusader Kings II, Super Crate Box does NOT crash the PC

Launching Alan Wake, Counter Strike, Empire Total war DOES crash the PC

Alright this is probobly really important

The Intelburn Test ran fine on standard 10 times

however the second Furmark started my PC reset

you have gpu problem it might be drivers or overheating, it seem as soon you stress the gpu at it fails, check gpu temps and make sure have latest stable drivers.
