The Build So Far (Don't Judge): http://pcpartpicker.com/list/2xcPsJ
Ok so I have been working on this build for a bit too long and yep it's kinda outdated already but I would like to go ahead and finish it and do what I can with what I got. So for right now I would like to make this build a mid level gaming rig. I would like to have it run 1440p with little to no issues but 1080p is also fine. As I currently don't play many games that are graphic interest but don't mean I won't. The few parts I have I bought at a Fry's Electronics store near my house using mostly gift cards I got during past Christmas.
I was told I should look at the new RX 480's for the graphics card.
I definitely want a SSD and at least a 1TB or maybe a 2TB HDD
I would at least like 2 8GB RAM.
I would also like to find a cool desk to put the tower so I could use some cool ideas on that too.
Everything else I am open to ideas?
Are you buying a monitor?
Are you primarily gaming or is it for work as well? (8gb of ram is enough if just gaming)
RX480 will be fine for up to 1440p - if you want 4k either two of them or NVidia
What is the total budget you have for everything NOT yet purchased?
Since you didn't give a specific price target I went for what I thought were the best components without going overboard and crazy: Pc Part Picker Complete Build
I will probably by a monitor later on I have one right now that I will use. Adventually I like to at least have dual monitors. But that's not a high priority right now. It be gaming mainly but I do want to branch off into some other things and test out my programing skills at some point. but again not my first priority right now. Just want to get this build and finally play some of my games.
Oops yea sorry I would like to keep the budget to a good level since I already almost spent $500 maybe $600 more max but not sure. I can flex my budget a bit and get the right part for a good price so I don't miss out or build a build where everything will be outdated and will have to start from scratch on the next build. For right now I can spend anywhere between $300 to $400 and if need I can split things out to from paycheck to paycheck.
Also thanks for all the help.
Ok metalize took a look at that build looks nice thanks so are those good bang for your buck products or just your recommendations. Looks like PCPartpicker don't have stats and information on the 480's yet.
Also any ideas where to look for neat desk that can fit my case on the top. I remember the tek syndicate's review and said that flat on carpet ain't the best idea. also would like to show it off.
O I give you brownie points if you post a link/video to a review of any of the products you have recommended.
Ok so I was pretty stupid somehow I got confused or something as I watched a video of intel's 750 series SSD's and thought it was the same as this one. https://www.dealzon.com/deals/intel-320-ssd-price#intel-540s-series-ssd-240gb-ssdsc2kw240h6x1
Well now that I realized of my mistake do you think the intel SSD is good for the price or is there a better deal out there. I hear the Samsung 850 evo's are great but is it worth the price. How about this one
