Help me find a quality gaming mouse

A long story short, I bought a Razer Lachesis mouse and started having the dreaded "have to unplug and plug it back in to make it work" problem. I just got a replacement back today and about 3 hours after plugging it in, the same problem happened again. Right now I'm not feeling the love for Razer.

If you have a favorite mouse, please let me know. This 'new to me' mouse has other issues as well so I'm going to be firing off a strongly worded email to Razer tomorrow. I just want a mouse that is going to last longer than a few months, I don't think that's too much to ask for.

The only quality mouse i have EVER used is a corsair m60. I can't attest to how other mice are, but this one is incredibly smooth and comfortable, looks nice, and you can add/remove weights on it. Theres to buttons on the left wich is nice and simple, and a sniper button which is, IMO, USELESS. It's all i can attest to, but i have 0 gripes other than the useless sniper button.

small hands or  big hands? razer, tte, steel series, corsair etc etc... plenty of mfctrs make great mice, but some have too many buttons on them and some not enough. what kind of gamming do you do? MMO with lots of macros for spells? or just need like 4-5 macros?

i have a tte theron, not a lot of macro buttons compared to some mice, but it gets the job done for me, heard some people say its bulky, but a lot of gaming mice are, it fits my big claws just fine. performance, dpi's, looks, leds, macro optns,  easy install with good drivers. many things need to be factored into the mouse that tailored to best suit you when gaming or just day to day use . I've had razers, logis, steel series and so forth... and been happy with all my prev choices and current choices for my rigs, i feel selecting a good mouse comes down to how well it fits in your hand for gaming and time spent, 1 hr a day or multiple hrs a day. its better to have a comfortable wrist hand and elbow than developing a weird syndrome lol but seriously I hope this was good insight for ya.

My R.A.T 7 is meh. Great for hand ergonomics, but that fucking lazer optic gets dirty waaay to easy and forgets there's a Y axis, not just an X. Maybe the new ones are fixxed, but it's just really annoying.

Microsoft SideWinder is pretty good

I use The Razer BF3 Mouse it has one of the hiest DPi rateings and have nver had a problem with it.

Comparing what I've used; Sidewinder 2+3, Razer Deathadder, and a RAT 7, I would go with the Deathadder (currently using it).

It's simple, and it performs well, which is all you really need. Sure, the others have fancier options to them, but in my mind you don't need fancy options if you're looking for a good gaming mouse; you just need solid tracking.

The RAT was decent until I got nothing but tracking problems.

deathadder is probably the most popular gaming mouse right now, and for a good reason, it's not too pricey, nice and big, and no ral problems with it

Logitech FTW!!

G700 for comfort

G9x for precision and accuracy

G500 for value

I'm using the Death Adder over my Naga just because I personally think the Death Adder feels better. Also the Naga is a bit much for my play style in mmo's and fps.

Pick up a Zowie EC1 eVo

Logan did a review on it a little while back, and I've had mine for a couple months now.  I absolutely love it!  And no crappy/cheap switches or sensors like Razer uses

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've got some research to do now.

Someone asked a question that I liked, asking about hand size. I tend to palm my mice so something really big probably wouldn't work to well for me. Comfort is a big plus for me.

Cyber Snipa Silencer is a good all around value gaming mouse. I love it!

I have a steelseries rival mirror. I think it's an excellent value for money, and I love how consistent the tracking is on a QcK. Before that I had many Logitech and Razer mice, and after all the issues let's say I'm not looking back.

Other than those, I've never tried the Zowie models but only heard good stuff about them if not for their lack of presence on the market. They seem to have trouble with distribution in some parts of North America. I know they came up with a new line a few days ago. Might be worth taking a look at them, it'll probably be in stock for a few months at least, and Zowie is known to make good quality stuff.

I've owned a Cooler Master CM Storm Recon for little over a year now with little complaints. It's pretty accurate for a $30 mouse. It's rather simple though, with 2 buttons on each side (but the computer maps the same function to both sides). It has 4 DPI settings, and it changes colors with each DPI setting.

Logitech G400s has great ergonomics

I'm using the g500s, as is my buddy. its nice.
