Hello!
I am selling a pre-built system for my friend and we are figuring out if he could still use his Windows 7 key to activate Windows 10 because of the anniversary update.
Would we need a new key for Windows 10 (keeping my key for my skylake build) for him or could he still use his Windows 7 key? He currently has a Windows 10 OEM. (Death to OEM)

AFAIK windows doesn't offer the free upgrade anymore. So you would need a win 10 key

@Private
Hopefully I'd be lucky enough to get a key at an alright price. I wouldn't have to buy OEM just to troll my friend :c

I remember seeing this on Paul's Hardware, and using it, if you've ever heard of the site kinguin.net, it has a, supposedly legit, windows 10 keys for about 20-25 bucks. Windows 10 Professional: https://www.kinguin.net/category/19429/windows-10-professional-oem-key/ Windows 10 Home: https://www.kinguin.net/category/22175/windows-10-home-oem-key/ If you don't trust links just search kinguin.net and put Windows into the search bar. If the exploit above doesn't work anyway.
