Help me choose a Motherboard

Im planning for my first build and can't really decide on a which motherboard to get.

I have narrowed down my searches to these motherboards:

1) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO
http://www.amazon.co..../dp/B012NH1SK8

2) MSI Z170A GAMING M7
http://www.amazon.co..../dp/B0131GA4PK

3)ASRock Z170 Extreme7+
http://www.newegg.co....82E16813157627

4)Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
http://www.amazon.co..../dp/B012IBPJ6I

I was originally planning on the asus motherboard, but the reviews are
50/50, if you own this ASUS motherboard tell me how you like it and if
it performs well.

This will also be my first build.

Here are the parts for the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wpXs99

Thanks in advanced

well all those boards are basicly good.
it just mainaly depends on the futures you like for the right price.

What are you doing with your PC exactly?

Okay hang on, that build is so very unoptimized, the Xeon 1231v3 is a good deal better option as far as performance per dollar goes, though an unlocked haswell i7 may be perfered with this 144hz display

But otherwise what is your current display set up? Because you could fit in a high end Frees-sync display easily, this one is 1440p 144hz IPS, with the full range

If nothing else you should definitely go X99 for that budget

You could also save a bunch of money on fans going with a 120mm fan 4 pack, performance is a bit lesser in terms of cfm, but I really don't think you're going to need 100cfm fans with that many, how hot is it where you live? $13 for 4 fans

Also MX-4 is a better paste as it's non conductive, less chance for things to go wrong

Also for $30, gigabyte has a similar wireless adapter that supports up to AC wireless as well, with a movable antenna
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di

and then why do you need the wireless card are you doing any kind of more competitive gaming or just general use? because you should in like a power line adapter, or a range extender and run wired from there. if possible

I went with X99 here. Its a much more balanced system. I also need to make sure you understand 3 things.

1: kill the fans. The case will come with fans, and that is really all you will need.

2: The noctua cooler already comes with really nice thermal paste. No need for any extra.

3: Never use wifi if you do not absolutely have to. Look up power line adapters and see if you can not use those instead.

3.5: The fractal design case is actually a bit sturdier, is a lot quieter, and IMO looks a little better.

Just remember once you activate that OEM version of windows it is tied to that motherboard and can't be used with a different build. Retail version of Windows 10 Home is only $30.00 more.

topic starter has most likely allready figured that out after nine months.
i suppose you probably have missed the date of this topic.
