A lot of reviewers don't mention the issues with Single Rank vs. Dual Rank RAM in terms of adding more in the future.
This important info dictates what RAM to purchase now more than anything else.

If the cost of an SSD detracts from the core performance of the CPU and GPU, then no... an SSD is not worth it. You can buy one later and add it in without the hassle of buying and selling a core component like the CPU/GPU.

While that may be true an SSD will make a notable improvement in over all performance of the build -- even in a 500 dollar build. If you can get one for the same price as a small hard drive I'd say buy the hard drive later when you can buy a big one for storage purposes.
