Help finding windows 8 product key

I find it funny how building my pc was easier than actually installing windows! Im sorry for all the installing windows problem posts and I'm pretty sure that this is the last post on this matter and thanks for all the people that have helped me so far!

after 1 week of trying to create a bootable usb from an iso and using my mums product key I finally got it to work but then realised that I couldn't even use my mums product key! So i went out (pissed off, mind you) and bought windows 8, which I didn't even want (i wanted windows 7) but its all they had. I have no idea what to do from here, I have the end item pn, carton no, a 14 digit nameless code, label part no., inter part no., work order no. and printer ID and a code inside next to a key that has the exact amount of numbers that I need for a product key but it doesnt work. NO PRODUCT  KEY!!!!!!! its windows 8 pro 64 bit and unless that nameless 14 digit code was the product key i have no clue what to do. Do you think you could help me?

I have another question as well, since I bought windows 8 can i upgrade to 8.1 for free? (this is an important question that needs to be answered for me :)

Thanks in advance!

yes you can upgrade to 8.1 for free. And the product key should be a combination of 25 letters/numbers long. Now for the no disc drive issue, you can either take the one out of another pc that is there, or you can insert the disc into another pc that has Win 7 on it and run it. There should be an option that says install by creating media, thats where your thumb drive (bigger than 4GB!) comes in. Select your drive and it should install the media onto there. Then you should be able to install it onto your pc, then enter the code that came with the disc and should be set.
